To celebrate the launch of STL Summer Adventure, St. Louis County Library and St. Louis Public Library have introduced new library cards sponsored by City SC.

St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Favorite Author Series and The Novel Neighbor are pleased to host a special event with bestselling “Crazy Rich Asians” novelist Kevin Kwan for a discussion and signing of his new novel “Lies and Weddings.” The event will take place on Tuesday, May 21, 7:00 p.m. at the Ethical Society of St. Louis, 9001 Clayton Rd. St. Louis MO 63117. Kevin Kwan will be in conversation with Soman Chainani, author of the hit “School for Good and Evil” series. The event will be presented in partnership with the Very Asian Foundation.

St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Favorite Author Series, Left Bank Books, and The Very Asian Foundation present acclaimed novelist Rachel Khong for a discussion and signing of “Real Americans.” The event will take place on Monday, May 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Daniel Boone Branch, 300 Clarkson Rd., Ellisville, MO, 63011. Rachel Khong will be in conversation with Michelle Li, KSDK TV News Anchor and co-founder of The Very Asian Foundation. Books will be available for purchase at the event from Left Bank Books.

Small Business Launchpad

The Small Business Launchpad is a 8-week program for individuals with previous state or federal convictions to learn the basics for starting and running a business. Participants will learn the basics for starting and running a business through expert-led presentations and workshops. Applications will be accepted May 1-31.

St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Favorite Author Series and The Novel Neighbor present New York Times bestselling novelist Mary Kay Andrews for her highly-anticipated new novel, “Summers at the Saint.” The event will take place on Thursday, May 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Grant’s View Branch, 9700 Musick Rd., St. Louis MO, 63123. The program is free and open to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event from The Novel Neighbor.
